Jennifer Van Haute, Assistant Vice President of Administration at Central States Health & Life Co. of Omaha, brings over 20 years of OnBase experience, with the last three years focused on administration. She played a key role in transitioning OnBase from a basic image storage solution to an integral part of the company’s business processes. Jennifer was involved in designing and managing the first workflow, which streamlines mail processing from the mailroom through onboarding and review. In addition to managing the teams that use the system, she provides training to employees and helps refine workflows. Looking ahead, she will be involved in designing future workflows to further enhance operations.

Some of the team’s recent wins include reducing disaster risks by eliminating paper processes, making it easier for users to access their work remotely. Digitizing business documents early in their lifecycle has also improved accessibility and reduced the need to search through physical files. Additionally, the new system has enabled better collaboration, allowing users to cover tasks when colleagues are unavailable. Moving forward, Jennifer’s team plans to add workflows for check approvals, improve reporting on accuracy and efficiency, and implement forms to streamline communication between teams and systems. She appreciates working with the DataBank team, noting our commitment to keeping the organization updated on OnBase developments. Jennifer also values the collaborative community facilitated by Elyse, where clients across industries support one another. Looking at trends, she observes that OnBase is leveraging AI tools to extract deeper insights from documents, offering valuable behavioral and trend analysis alongside traditional data reporting.
